New Year, New Me?

Every year we’re told to reinvent ourselves. Set goals and intentions. Cut people out. Purchase gym memberships. Change your hair. Change your wardrobe. Become better. Reset your life.

But the woman I am today isn’t a reinvention because the year changed.

She’s here because I changed.

This season taught me the power of slowing down, of choosing myself and no longer being endlessly accessible.

Peace, I learned, doesn’t come from explaining yourself.

It comes from knowing yourself and letting that suffice.

This year for me isn’t about reinvention; it’s about intention.

I choose to be more intentional with my time, my energy and who gets access to me.

My privacy is protection, and growth sometimes requires boundaries, even with the people we love.

So no, this isn’t a new me.

It’s the same woman, just clearer, quieter, and far more intentional.

Here’s to 2026.
